Lamborghini Espada

Here we have an early 1970’s Porsche 911T in ‘Roman Purple’. I checked some Porsche color charts, but couldn’t find any information on this color. Regardless, it has a beautiful wine-hue that adds a touch of elegance to this classic icon.

Stumbled on this possible tribute to the “Brown Car Blog” (http://browncar.tumblr.com/) through a car forum and had to check it out. I personally don’t share the enthusiasm for purple cars that the owner of this blog does yet my wife loves them. For that I’ve always noticed purple cars and trucks a little more.
When she decided she wanted a Ranger (did not happen, ended up with a granny wagon in metallic silver) I immediately thought of this awesome Unicorn of a truck that I saw once and never again, for sale at least.
It was a 95 Ranger flare-side, regular cab, 4X4 factory lift with fully painted bumpers in a perfect purple. Although we determined that a Ranger would not be the best choice, purple cars still get my attention. Ford and GM especially seemed to be very liberal with Purple in the 90’s and I may post a few of those up as well, maybe even something as credible as the M3 at some point.
In the meantime, enjoy the purple.

From 1995 - 1996, the BMW M3 was offered in a shade of purple called Daytona Violet Metallic.
This color fits the E36 lines perfectly, especially the M models. It’s bold enough for a performance car, yet has a nice luxurious hue, perfect for a BMW.
I much prefer Daytona to it’s successor Techno Violet, which I will post further on down the road.

This point of this blog is super simple. My favorite color is purple, and I have a huge passion for cars.
However, purple is a pretty rare color when it comes to cars. So, I’m going to post images of all types of cars in all types of purple.
Enjoy.
